1994 Louis Jadot Clos St Denus Grand Cru
VINTAGE MATTERS?
Served from a magnum, this 1994 Clos Saint Denis, despite coming from a below average vintage, far exceeded my whole family's expectations! Was vintage that important to burgundy? I'm starting to doubt so, go for the maker.
Reunion dinner wine, even my mum who doesn't drink often was pleased with the wine, what can I say? Ripe, forward, rich, multiple layers of superlative silkiness adds a lot of dimension to the wine. Really didn't expect it from Jadot, superb!
