Masseto has definitely gained a lot of attention lately, coming to fame in the early 2000s, many wine critics called it the Petrus of Italy. Do I agree with this statement? Admittedly it's a great wine.
Very good nose, sweet faint oak, raisins are prominent, slight smoke.
The beauty of this 94 was it's unique purity and a queen of elegance. A very structured wine, slight weakness was that I think the acidity was going to outlast the fruits. Nevertheless still a great wine!
