1995 Chateau d'Yquem Lur Saluces Sauternes
STYLISHLY DIFFERENT
I have drank many y'd'Yquem in the past, but no vintage was like this 95, very unique and different. To make things more interesting, it was served blind and my guess were all over the place! My first instinct was Italian due to the reduction on both the nose and the palate. In addition, the nose had some wet haysack.
Was extremely sweet palate, syrupy, greatly reduced and highly concentrated, young and full of sweet peaches. My jaws dropped when I learned that it was a Sauternes.
