1995 Chateau Leoville Las Cases Saint Julien
BORDEAUX 1995 REVISIT
Hosted a dinner with top quality Bordeaux 95 to see how it has evolved 20 years on. Overall it looks like it's a St Emilion vintage, as the top 3 goes to 1. Angelus 2. Figeac 3. Haut Brion. But my #1 favorite was Pichon Baron.
Served blind. Had leaves and loads of coffee (which was a giveaway for Saint Julien). Relatively rich body but slightly weak. Too much alcohol tonight I may not have judged it with justice.
