1995 Domaine Jean Grivot Richebourg Grand Cru
RICHEBOURG #3 & #4
Served blind, how often do we have such a lineup of almost all Richebourg labels displayed under the sun? With apologies to Thibault Liger Belair, Leroy, Mongeard Muneret, Albert Bichot.
There were two similar bottles served tonight. I will use the better bottle's notes.
Nose: Fresh blood, fresh cherries and strawberries, inky, slightly choking.
Palate: Grivot when young was simply tyre grips, tight and harsh, dense, huge tannins, structured but totally not ready to drink. Wait.
