1995 Domaine Michel Neillon Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
Three blind bottles of Neillon Chevalier Montrachet in a blind flight of three, all contributed by generous friends, was the highlight of the night. This 95 was clearly better than the two 2000, although not perfect either.
Great nose of perfume, acacia honey, oily and a tinge of orange. Palate was rich and oily but not overpowering. Entry was of ultra elegance, quite broad, but the weakness was the finishing was quite short. The 2000 had much better length. Neillon was very underrated.
