1996 Bouchard Pere & Fils Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru

The strong note of brioche has been almost completely absorbed and the wonderfully fresh and astonishingly intense, pure and focused green apple fruit is still present and introduces simply unbelievably powerful, gorgeously detailed, big, indeed huge flavors seemingly fashioned straight from crystalline rock. This literally explodes in the mouth as it completely stains the palate and the persistence is flat out incredible.
A matured white burgundy is rare, so I had the honor to taste it. Nose is very elegant, unlike young wines where u sometimes get choking feeling, not with an aged Grand Cru, very feminine, very relaxed, like smelling some good relaxing massage oil. Palette was almost like the nose, soft, elegant, feminine. Lemony starts to show up when the wines warmed up, loads of minerality. Good things don't last long, wine fell off the cliff 30 mins later.
