1996 Chopin Groffier Vougeot Grand Cru
Nose is with deep, dark cherries, with some woody notes and Vanilla staying behind the cherry fruits, not a typical burgundy floral nose. The palette is relatively sweet and with decent structure, with dark cherry fruits dominating the palette coupled with relatively strong acidity. I am particular about balance of burgundy, I'd say this is around 80% balanced. Winemaker will need more ripe fruits and lesser tannins.
