Eleven Shades of Combettes 11/11
I didn't expect that there were more than 11 producers producing Combettes in Puligny Montrachet, not to mention we have a lineup of 11 bottles tonight, all from different producers! Speechless for my limited white burgundy knowledge.
This was done by Henri Boillot's father. Nose was of wet leaves and sugarcane. Somehow palate was much older than the vintage, we suspect it was premox. Strong, big and bold butter dominated the palate, as well as complex secondary flavor.
