1996 Morey Blanc Montrachet Grand Cru
Perhaps the youngest Montrachet I ever had, at this top level, it's really too young to drink, prefer to wait another 10 years when it has settled down on the acidity and complexity. I was told Pierre Morey worked for Leflaive till 2004, and knowing quality of Leflaive this one can't be too far off. Beg to differ, typical fresh honeycomb on the nose, palette is rich, sawdust dryness, semi honeycomb and slightly lemony. Still too young, hope to try it in another decade.
