1997 Chateau d'Issan Margaux
Served blind. My first nose I blurted out smells like Palmer 79 that I recently tasted blind, very woody nose. But the palette was obviously not a 79 as even the wine was very dry, the fruits keep improving in the glass, so I changed my mind to think it was a poor vintage Lynch Bages; 84? 91? 92? 93? Well, miles off when I found that I was only 1/3 correct as a Margaux and not even close for the vintage guess.
