1997 Chateau Figeac Saint Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe
I am very surprised by the friendliness of this vintage. Normally, most wines are diluted for 1997, but not Figeac 97, thanks to the great winemaking skills. Vanilla, slightly cooked, and full of red berries on the nose. Palette is almost similar; red fruits, abundance of raspberries, the feel is bright, lively and pleasant. Good effort!
