1997 Gruaud Larose Saint Julien
Gruaud Larose does not get much respect amongst the peers. However, never look down on this label, coz every time I drank this label on a mediocre vintage, it sings! I can talk the whole night about the superb 81 ... This 97 was a watershed vintage, but she performed way beyond my expectation. Good nose, very balance of fruits & acidity, fun to drink, enjoyable. What more can u ask for from a poor 97 vintage? Hats off. Price for this is still cheap, take my word for it!
