1998 Chateau Laroze Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe
I need to stress one most important factor before I delve into my report of this wine you should just buy whatever right bank Bordeaux 1998 wines you can get hold of. I can simply say I hardly had any disappointment. This wine is no difference. Initially I thought it was over oaked with too much oak on the nose, but my view changed when I had the first sip fruity yet not powerful, balance of oak and matured fruits, and yet still full of gripping tannins. It's an absolutely good feeling to drink this.
