1998 Chateau Rouget Pomerol
ROUGET, POMEROL ROCKS!
After the awesome and seriously underrated 2005, I have zoomed in to this label as an upcoming label from Pomerol. I don't understand why no wine critics paid any attention to this label, perhaps they're way too busy on all the big names and neglected this label. 1998 is a strong right bank vintage, and Rouget performed as expected. Strong refined oak nose. The body is rich and sumptuous, very fruity. Perhaps slightly 1 Dimensional but it's really worth the price.
