1998 Malescot St Exupery Margaux
GOOD EFFORT
For Bordeaux vintage 1998, I'll always pick wines from the right bank over the left, as I have done so many tasting that cheap right bank wines can blow away left bank wines effortlessly. The only exception was Margaux appellation which perhaps can rival some right bank wines.
A bit woody on the nose when popped, but went away shortly and mild fruits surfaced. The fruits on the palate was very good, ripe and bold. In fact the wine drank much better the next day, implying that it can age.
