1998 Maume Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru
What I really liked about this wine, on nose it showed nice pack of fruits, like they are dancing together in a tune; with spiced plummy red fruits, tight and muscled. Very inviting, with some mineral and earthy tones.
With a sip, the super Mazis character is revealed. Round, structured and complex, the energy the wine brings out is lovely. Smooth, with linear feel. Soft and gentle.
Creamy fruit, with hints of mushroom. Good concentration, as the tannins held well, a bit of grab feel on long finish.
