1998 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia
I attended a vertical tasting of Sassicaia, it didn't really impressed me, only a slightly above average tasting. So I will share my notes here. Strong alcohol and vegetal nose led the way on the nose with mild fruits. Not so impressed with the palette, acidic, bitter, powerful tannins, disappointing structure and relatively woody. Not impressive. Again WS95 score just way over rated in my opinion, or I was having a very poor bottle.
