2000 Chateau d'Issan Margaux
GREAT POTENTIAL...
I always had a thought that d'Issan is a lighter style of wine (eg 1983), but I had the 1982 and now the 2000, I must confess it's no longer the weaker Margaux style. In fact, this is extremely robust and solid in all aspects! All the Margaux characters of coffee, dark chocolate, chunky fruits, graphite, great backing of acidity in the background, makes this wine extremely great potential to age well. The reason I didn't award it 5 stars as I want to see when it's fully matured. Great!
