2000 Chateau Giscours Margaux
Back in 1998, Giscours committed a fraud case of mixing milk, water and fruit acid in their wines, really tainted their reputation. This 2000 was a decent effort. It really requires decanting for at least 30 minutes, and the strong fruity nose was really obvious. Content wise, surprisingly soft fruits, which was a trademark of Margaux appellation. Good effort here. For sure 2009 wasn’t a fraud.
