2000 Moet & Chandon Vintage Brut
NOTHING SPECIAL
I aged this bottle for more than a decade, just to see if I can find anything special. Frankly, don't bother with low end champagne like Moet & Chandon, as I don't feel any improvement with age. At least for other champagnes of similar age, it would have developed a secondary flavor by now (e.g. M&C Rose 2000), this one had no evolution at all. Rather sweet on the nose, similar on the palate as well, detected no secondary flavor evolution at all, still young and crispy.

Every Grand Vintage is unique and original, the cellar master’s personal, free interpretation in service of the singular qualities of that year’s grapes.
A good vintage for champagne. I had it during a seafood buffet, it was long gone before I realized it!
