2001 Bouchard Pere & Fils Meursault 1er Les Porusot
BOUCHARD IS GREAT!
2nd bottle of Meursault from Bouchard tonight (first bottle was Genevrieres), I am impressed with this negociants production, keeps exceeding my expectations. Very matured nose with matured minerality (like cooked metals). Palette is of great balance, extremely rich and extremely mineral. Can drink this all day long and never sick of it!

After yesterday's crazy tasting, I decided for my dinner to have a simple Meursaults to fall back to earth. Well, I told everyone I was not fussy with my daily wines, just that I was blessed with an extremely sharp (but not fussy) palette. So there's lots of minerality, slightly lemon on the nose. Palette wise it was surprisingly matured, very approachable on entry, relatively intense fruits on entry, rather fat, then thins down on the back palette. Is this Meursaults character, Johan?
