2001 Chateau La Conseillante Pomerol
SUPERB COMPLEXITY
Many drinkers didn't know that Pomerol 2001 was one of the best vintages, even exceeded 2000 & arguably better than 1998. This was a perfect example.
Nose keeps evolving, from vanilla and oak, to cooked fruits at 45min, to blueberry and black current towards the finishing.
Palate was extremely sophisticated and complex, I can name at least 5 dark fruits along with cherries and even apple. It keeps evolving in the decanter, from elegance and finesse to become a fruit bomb then back.
