2001 Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Grand Cru Marquis de Laguiche
Amongst the 5 vintages tonight, 88, 96, 97, 99 and 01, this was the top #1 for Marquis de Laguiche vintage (although I reserved my best vintage for 04). Nose was super complex, lemon elegance and slight orange along with smoke. Content keeps improving, initially ripe elegance, very expressive, slowly turned clean and complex. A great wine!
