2001 Mommessin Clos de Tart Grand Cru
RINGER
One of the burgundy ringers in the Northern Rhone blind tasting that I managed to fish out that it was a burgundy, the nose couldn't fool me at all.
I was truly impressed with this great burgundy, as I hardly give 5 stars to a red burgundy. The balance for this wine was exceptional, truly hard for anything else to match it (for those that I've drank before), sweet but also truly elegant, ripe and forward, this Clos de Tart vintage really changed my opinion about Mommessin!
