2001 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia
I attended a vertical tasting of Sassicaia, it didn't really impressed me, only a slightly above average tasting. So I will share my notes here. I was truly impressed with 2001, very big an fruity nose captured my attention. The mouthfeel was extremely balanced, very structured as well. However it couldn't hold in the glass for 30min before fading. Anyway, wine of the day for me. Sadly, WA94 and I got really upset with these WA scores that I totally do not see any relevance to these scores.
