2002 Louis Jadot Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
GOOD BUT NOT GREAT
Louis Jadot is a negociant, producing hundreds of labels from burgundy. However, Les Demoiselles was a plot owned by Jadot, thus they took pride in the quality of this Chevalier Montrachet. We had a great lineup of 2002 Grand Cru whites, unfortunately this one came in as the least favorite. Not that the quality wasn't good enough, just that comparing to the greatest put this label to shame (read my subsequent posts). Too sweet, slightly short on finishing, and elevated acidity ruin it.
