2002 Louis Roederer Cristal Brut

I must have drank over a dozen of this gem in my lifetime, it’s always my favorite vintage when it comes to Cristal. I was spot on for blind guessing (single blind) the vintage tonight based upon the following observation: nose was extremely fruity, and Cristal is always very fruit driven, especially when it’s at optimal drinking age, thus the palette also reflected such character, almost crazy load of fruits, perhaps not as intense as Pol Roger’s Winston Churchill 02 (different fruit profile), but definitely more fruity. I noticed the fizzle is starting to become lesser and lesser compared to those I consumed over the years, perhaps it’s an aging process and bubbles tend to become lesser when the champagne has age.
