2003 Chateau Pontet Canet Pauillac Grand Cru Classe
OVER RATED
I think some wine critics got it all wrong with Pontet Canet as an up and coming chateau amongst the fierce Pauillac landscape. So many 100 points were given to this wine till I lost track. I personally do not think it deserved the high rating.
No doubt it was a masculine, hugely tannic and chunky wine, however, these characters alone cannot make such wine score so highly. There's basically no other charming characters I found in this label. Sorry, I disagree with wine critics.
