2003 Marc Colin St Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly
Another great producer of this En Remilly plot on the side of St Aubin rather than Chassagne Montrachet. 2003 is a very hot vintage, thus the grapes really suffered a lot from the heat. However, En Remilly sits on the slope overlooking Chevalier Montrachet, thus it benefitted from the cooler vintage. When served chilled, the bouquet and body displayed a lot of lively and attractive acidity, quite inconceivable for a hot vintage. The wine turned buttery when warmed up, guess some oak has been applied. Nevertheless, still a very good wine to enjoy over a plate of deep fried fish.
