2004 Chateau D'Armailhac Pauillac
Average age of the vines : 47 years Vinification : fermented in stainless steel vats for 15 to 20 days Maturation : 15 to 16 months in oak barrels (25% new)
This vintage has far exceeded my expectation of this simple Bordeaux, the fruit is bold & ripe that u can almost chew on it, and the acidity is in the background supporting the fruits without trying to overshadow the fruits, which causes this wine to be really in harmony. It really gave me a wake up call that these 5th growth wines can do much more than many other classified growths.
