ULTIMATE MONTRACHET 2/12
In this series I will report the detailed tasting of 12 ultimate bottles of Montrachet 04, blind format, to find the King of Montrachet.
I was taken off by the nose with slight sugarcane and baked apple, a sign of premox! The sugarcane turned worse after 25m. Surprisingly the palate did not have the advanced character at all! That’s quite a miracle. Strong caramel character, although not very smooth, with massive concentration. Almost an onion for me, my last 2nd spot!
