In this series I will report the detailed tasting of 12 ultimate bottles of Montrachet 04, blind format, to find the King of Montrachet.
Sorry if you didn’t like my 3.5 stars, go buy a bottle and taste yourself. Started off with bad notes of chlorine then turned strong sugarcane 15m later.
I didn’t like the content a bit. The acidity was way over the roof! The wine never came into harmony with sourness, lean and sharp style. Totally disappointing for a big name Montrachet!
