This was the last vintage produced by the father Jean Boillot before son Henri Boillot took over the monopole plot of Clos de la Mouchere, one of my highly favorable Puligny Montrachet plot. Nose of integrated oak and honey. The usual style of Jean was intensity of the wine. Body of great depth, you have to be patient for the wine to show up, and when it does, you can sense the great intensity, power, superb richness and flavor. Good loads of weight on the palate. Farewell to Jean.
