2004 Leroy Meursault Perrières
QUEEN OF MEURSAULT
I can't think of any other ladies in Meursault that produced such a great wine apart from Bize Lalou Leroy. It was absolutely hedonistic, complex and really great quality wood she's using here. We decanted the wine in a narrow decanter for 3 hrs chuck it into the fridge. Didn't do justice to the wine when cold, but when it warms up, boy, the length and complexity is unreal, so is the concentrated fruits. Fully deserved to be wine of the day today. I wish I had a Comtes Lafon here too.
