2004 Masseto Toscana

2004 was a great vintage in Italy in general, but not the greatest for Super Tuscans. This Masseto 04 was quite similar to 08, although a slight step down from 08.
I keep getting Shiraz like character on the nose from Masseto (not a fan of Shiraz), quite creamy and slightly stinky. Content was very acidic yet creamy. Huge amount of tannins, finishing wasn't as long as 97. I'm starting to detect the silkiness and purity. It probably requires another 5 10 years to tone down.
