2005 Chateau Angelus Saint Emilion
PERFECT WINE?
Tasted blind, it was an RP100 wine, provenance was pristine, first bottle from the case. Did it live up to expectations?
My nose was telling me some Grenache with big spice, charred wood. Palate somehow lacked flavor, although the pluses were it's elegance, fruity, chewy and chunky fruits.
I rated it 95, nowhere close to Parker's perfect score (neither did any other 11 wine connoisseur rated it anywhere near 100 points). Seriously, take Parker scores with a pinch of salt, its commercial.
