2005 Chateau Lascombes Margaux
95 TO 89
Robert Parker initially gave 95 points to this label but lately downgraded it to 89. Was it justified for such a big downgrade? Bok's verdict below.
Nose of floral fragrance, sophisticated dark chocolate, black currant, blueberry, creamy. Palate was really soft, dark chocolate, multiple layers of myriad fruits, moderate intensity and length.
I certainly don't think this deserved 89, nor the initial 95 points (I have tasted this wine multiple times over the years), somewhere 92 94 is fair.
