2005 Chateau Palmer Margaux
GOODNESS!
I must admit Parker's upgrade of this wine to 98 was appropriate, I'd gave it an almost perfect score. Wine of the night for me. The nose was typical Margaux, floral fragrance, extremely elegant and inky. The palette impressed me so much I was a bit out of words; superb layers after layers of super complex and sophisticated wine, extremely rich yet at the same time feminine style. I'd say LOAD IT UP BY TRUCK LOAD IF YOU CAN FIND IT! One of the most impressive 05 I have had, better than Lafite 05
