2005 Chateau Vray Croix de Gay
PRIME TIME
It was a relatively small and unfamiliar label to me, but this vintage simply blew my palate off! You have to understand at my level not many Bordeaux wines can impress me anymore, as I have virtually covered almost everything under the sun.
Nose of dark red fruits and coffee, a bit smokey. The charm is on the palate; the softness set me aback, that's really rare! Very rounded, ripe and totally ready for prime drinking window, I'm really glad to have found a cheap and great Pomerol!
