2005 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
GOOD BUT NOT GREAT
Tasted double blind, most of the Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet I would have rated it 5 stars, but not this vintage as I felt that it was extremely ready to drink, that I can't even detect any hint of tannins, that somehow implied no aging capability. I hope I was wrong.
Quite chlorinated on the nose, very mineral, and slight baked apple.
Palate was stunning, extremely soft and elegant, mellow and very oily like drinking some olive oil. It was a pleasure to drink but doubtful aging.
