2005 Domaine Ramonet Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru Champs Canet
FIRM OPINION
This was served by a Master of Wine to test our skills, absolutely no clue where it was from. My first instinct told me it gotta be a burgundy, most likely a Cotes de Beaune wine and I never changed my answer.
Faint mash mellow and lemon, although no oak was detected. I liked the magic touch on my palate; light and fruity, and I can't detect a trace of oak. Which led me to Chablis appellation and perhaps the vintage of 2015. Obviously was shocked to learn the answer. Not a bad try.
