2005 Haut Batailley Pauillac
BORDEAUX 2005 IS GREAT!
Having tasted many Bordeaux 2005 lately, I must confess it's a great classic vintage of Bordeaux. Maybe it'll rival the 1959 in time to come. It's very consistent across the board with no lousy producers.
Even this fifth growth outperformed my expectations! Great dark fruit nose, very classic and seductive. I get a blend of blueberries and black fruits, with great balance and superb finesse and finishing. Certainly surpassed my expectations!
