2005 Le Macchiole Messorio
100% BLIND MERLOT NIGHT!nnWhat a surprise to have a Messorio 05 as Wine of the Night! But it was a consensus vote with 19 points for first place, while Petrolo Galatrona 06 and Masseto 94 each had 12 points and tied Runner Up. I think the result was fair but surprising. What I observed was that these highly voted wines are more ready to drink, whereas wines like Masseto and Redigaffi wasn't quite ready. Results skewed by such observations? I do think so as I always urge participants must be forward looking.
