2006 Le Macchiole Messorio
100% BLIND MERLOT NIGHT!
This was the 3rd Messorio bottle showing up tonight. Luckily there wasn't any duplicate vintages tonight, despite no communication amongst participants. I ranked this the same as Redigaffi 01, tied #4 wine of the night. I get lots of charred wood although elegant charred nose. It was served right after the Petrolo 06, so comparatively, this palette tasted more awkward and clumsy, prefers the Petrolo 06. Loads of dark fruits and blueberry to wrap up the mouth fill.
