2006 Raveneau Chablis Premier Cru Montee de Tonnerre
EXCELLENT PREMIER CRU!
This was a borderline premier cru nearing Grand Cru status. I must say I was very impressed with it. Served blind, the only giveaway for being a premier cru was its lack of richness and complexity, but it was really close. Even the nose was screaming softness, silky characters, I was told it uses used oaks, but the nose had loads of fine oaks. I liked the softness, richness, purity, although a bit bitter and short towards the finishing. Still an extremely respectable premier cru!
