2006 Vincent Girardin Meursault Premier Cru Les Genevrières
DECENT BUT NOT GOOD
Girardin has been improving on his winemaking skills of late. Drinking side by side with Bouchard Genevrieres, it paled slightly. Plus a very slight premox bottle, makes evaluation tougher. Forward and very ripe fruits on the nose. Extremely forward and ripe fruits dominated the mouth, relatively ripe. However the mineral/steely character of Genevrieres didn't show up. Lacks acidity. Not sure how the premox has affected all these characters. Will evaluate again in the future.
