2007 Chateau De Beaucastel Chateauneuf Du Pape Rouge
Big, bold, inky, rough edges, I thought I was tasting some Aussie Shiraz. This wine was made with 13 grape types (out of the 14 allowed in CDP), decanted for 2 3 hrs, still not much has evolved compared to prior decanting. Looks like this type of wine will hv very long life (I hope I am correct as I'm no expert in CDP), friends said it paired well with Thai or Indian food, I dunno, for such food, I'd stick to beer!
