2007 Chateau Palmer Historical XIXth Century
BORDEAUX SYRAH?
Co hosted dinner with Ch Palmer tonight, this unique blend was 15% Syrah that was sourced from Hermitage region. In the past (a few centuries ago), Palmer wines were made with Syrah blend, thus this blend was unique in Bordeaux. Loads of warmth, spice, forward, very rich and still very tannic. The downside was the lack of complexity of this wine. I hoped it'll improve over time just like a great Hermitage wine do that I can upgrade the scores, for now, I'm just enjoying it moderately.
