2007 Comtes Lafon Meursault Genevrières Premier Cru
BIG NAME DISAPPOINTMENT 1/2
Comtes Lafon was a top producer in burgundy, however Meursault Genevrieres was probably not their cup of tea. In the 13 bottles blind lineup of Meursault Genevrieres, this turned out to be almost my onion of the night.
Nose of pear, lightly dusted cinnamon and butter. Ultra strong doze of minerality on the palate, along with the extreme end of ultra skinny body (not even a trim of fat), tight, acidic and confined. Totally unexciting wine, surely not worth the money.
